Postscript: With pieces like this, Skull and Flowers, I’m trying to push collage toward a painterly still-life surface blending fragments, softening joins, and working tone so the image reads as painted atmosphere rather than assembled parts. I also love the juxtaposition of grandma’ flowers with a skull.
